Content Is King

If you haven’t heard the phrase ‘content is king‘  then you will once you’ve been trying to make money online for awhile. If you making and trying to promote websites with content that’s used all over the Internet you’ll learn very quickly that it’s difficult to rank any site that is in a moderately competitive market. Sure a low competition market can have websites with junk content ranking well. But if you have any thoughts about ranking your sites against strong competing sites then you will need quality content.

PLR Content Is Not King

A lot of people are using PLR articles. PLR stands for Private Label Rights. PLR material can be copied and used for a variety of projects. You can find PLR software, PLR ebooks and PLR articles. Because it’s free it’s reproduced over and over again on the Internet. The majority of people trying to make money online are lazy. They can’t be bothered to write good content and think publishing content that’s been used a gazillion times will work. It Won’t. It’s a complete waste of time.

Spun Content Is Not King

People are starting to realize that a site filled with PLR is difficult to rank and despite being told content is king they turn to article spinners to spin the PLR to produce so called unique articles. There’s a lot of hype around spinning articles at the moment and it’s precisely that – HYPE. Seriously I can’t believe people think that spinning words and sentences is going to trick the search engines. Some of the content produced by spinners is dreadful and completely unreadable. How on earth will this give you good rankings on the search engines? Take Google, who have a $2 BILLION budget and employ the best brains in the world to run their search engine and continually improve their algorithum. Do you think a $50 spinner is going to outwit the Google boffins with all their resources and money? Of course not! Google will have a very good system in place to see through spun crap don’t worry about that. It’s laughable to think otherwise and the sooner people understand that and start creating unique content the sooner they’ll start making some money.

Content Is King

Content is king I really believe that. If you can write the content yourself great. If you hate writing content you can always outsource your content needs. There are a number of places to find writers willing to produce good content for your sites. One place I recommend is Fiverr. There are some great writers on there that will produce a good quality article for you for $5.

Having unique content doesn’t guarantee you a number 1 spot on Google of course. You’ll need a lot more than just good quality content to rank but it does give you a great head start especially against other Internet Marketers who are trying to make money online too.
